At the national level, the Valencian Community ranks third in agri-food exports, with a share of 12.6%, behind only Catalonia (22.3%) and Andalusia (20.8%).
The agri-food sector in the Valencian Community continues to consolidate its importance in the economy and international trade, accounting for 26.6% of the region’s total exports, with a value of €7.402 billion between January and September 2025.
The Regional Minister for Agriculture, Water, Livestock, and Fisheries, Miguel Barrachina, has emphasized that agri-food exports “grew by 8.7% year-on-year, well above the 0.3% increase recorded in the Community’s total exports.”
In this regard, Barrachina stressed that “our agri-food products are an international benchmark. Fruit, vegetables, processed products, juices, and wine not only reflect the richness of our countryside, but also boost the Valencian economy and generate quality employment. This year’s figures are a testament to the efforts of farmers, cooperatives, and companies to bring the excellence of the Community to the world.”
The minister made these statements during his visit, together with the Director General of Industry and Agri-Food Chain, Ernesto Fernández, to Zumos Valencianos del Mediterráneo (ZUVAMESA).
Fruit leads agri-food exports, with a value of €2.8457 billion, representing 38.4% of the total. This is followed by processed products (€2.3082 billion, 31.2%) and vegetables (€850 million, 11.5%). Valencian wine reached €194.1 million, an increase of 8.9% over the same period last year.
In terms of destinations, Germany remains the main market for Valencian agri-food products (19.1%), followed by France (16.8%), Italy (8.3%), the United Kingdom (7.6%), and Portugal (5.8%).

By province, Alicante recorded exports worth €1.8016 billion, representing year-on-year growth of 13.2%. The province achieved a trade balance of +€861.4 million, with coverage of 191.6%.
Castellón, meanwhile, recorded exports worth €946.8 million, an increase of 6.9% over the previous year. Its positive trade balance was €561.4 million, with coverage of 245.7%.
Finally, Valencia, the province with the highest figures, recorded exports of €4.6536 billion, with year-on-year growth of 7.5%. Its trade balance stood at +€955.5 million, while coverage reached 125.8%.
